See what you actually keep from an Etsy sale after listing fees, transaction fees, payment processing, advertising, shipping, product cost, and other selling expenses.
Etsy selling costs are made up of separate fee types. A typical US Etsy Payments order can include a listing fee, a transaction fee, payment processing, and—only when applicable—Offsite Ads or currency conversion fees. This calculator keeps those fees separate so you can see the economics of one order.
The total depends on the order amount and optional services. Etsy currently publishes a — listing fee, a — transaction fee, and US Etsy Payments processing of —. Offsite Ads and currency conversion only apply in qualifying situations.
The transaction fee applies to the order amount in your listing currency, including buyer-paid shipping and gift wrap. Buyer sales tax is not added to seller revenue in this calculator.
Etsy Payments processing is a separate fee from the transaction fee. For a US bank account, the current rate is — and the processing base can include shipping and applicable buyer sales tax.
Buyer-paid shipping is included in the transaction fee base and the payment processing base. Applicable buyer sales tax is included in the payment processing base but is not treated as seller revenue here.
A standard listing currently costs — and lasts up to four months unless sold. Multi-quantity listings can create additional listing or auto-renew-sold charges, and the original listing, additional quantities, and renewals may appear at different times in your Payment account. The quantity mode is an economic estimate; if you know the actual listing fees charged for the order, use Enter actual listing fees.
For an attributed Offsite Ads order, Etsy currently charges — when a shop has always remained below — USD in any consecutive 365-day period. Under current policy, those shops may opt out. Once a shop reaches — USD or more in any consecutive 365-day period, the attributed-order fee becomes — and participation is required for the lifetime of the shop. The fee is capped at — per order.
An order can be attributed when a buyer clicks an Offsite Ad and purchases from your shop within Etsy's current —-day attribution window. Under Etsy's Last Click Attribution rule, if the buyer's last ad click before purchase is an Etsy Ad, only the Etsy Ads attribution applies rather than an Offsite Ads fee for that order. This calculator does not apply an Offsite Ads fee unless you explicitly select an attributed order.
Offsite Ads use Etsy's published percentage fee only on orders Etsy attributes to Offsite Ads. Etsy Ads are a separate on-site CPC service, so this calculator accepts the actual Etsy Ads cost you allocate to the order instead of inventing a sales percentage. If Etsy reports an Etsy Ad as the buyer's final ad click before purchase, Etsy's Last Click Attribution rule says only the Etsy Ads attribution applies; do not also select an Offsite Ads fee for that same attribution.
When your listing currency differs from your Payment account currency, Etsy currently applies a — currency conversion fee to the sale amount. For this US/USD page, conversion is off by default.
It can be, but profitability depends on item price, product cost, shipping, Etsy fees, advertising, returns, and your target margin. Use the calculator with your own costs rather than relying on a universal margin assumption.
No. Etsy's transaction fee and Etsy Payments processing fee are separate charges with different fee bases. Offsite Ads and listing fees are separate again.
Buyer sales tax can be part of the gross amount used for payment processing, but it is not treated here as product revenue that the seller keeps.
If a shop has always remained below — USD in any consecutive 365-day period, the attributed-order rate is — and the shop may opt out under Etsy's current policy. Once the shop reaches — USD or more in any consecutive 365-day period, the rate becomes — and participation is required for the lifetime of the shop.
No automatic per-order setup or Etsy Plus charge is added. Those costs are seller-specific or subscription-based; use Other allocated fixed cost if you want to distribute them across orders.
